Is it possible to burn a film from a region 1 dvd onto a region 2 dvd?

I ordered a DVD from the USA. It's a film which has only been released on region 1, it's not available on region 2. However I live in Europe and I don't have a multi-region dvd player. Is it possible to burn a copy of the film onto a region 2 DVD? If so, what kind of shop should I go to to get this service performed?|||Sometimes you can find a region free code(hack code) and instructions of how to unlock the your DVD player so it will play any region.Type in google eg "region free code for liteon 500 DVD player".|||No,you can not burn a copy of the film onto a region 2 DVD directly.

But you could use a correct program to burn the region 1 DVD to a blank DVD disc, because this kind of software can remove the protections and the region code from the original DVD. The the copied one could be played at your end since it is a region code free disc. This kind of software you may search in Internet. You could use any-dvd-cloner for a try, it provides 3 times free trial. It is enough for you to work this dvd.Hope it makes sense to you.|||When I purchased the movie Waterworld in the USA not realising that DVD's had different region codes and had to buy a region 1 chip and then got a good 'local' tv sales and repair shop to install it for me.

I have attached a link to a UK store which can supply them:

(I did a McAfee security check on the site and it is alright)

But check with a good 'local' indpendent tv shop if they have or could they get the region 1 chip for you and install it.|||yes
