What do I have to do to submit a short film for next year's Sundance film festival?

I want to submit a short film for next year's Sundance, but I am not part of any studio, and I don't have my own company or anything. I have made no films that got a lot of attention or anything. How, if even possible, would I go about submitting a short film to the festival? Thanks in advance =)|||in June 2010 check this site, and good luck.

http://www.sundance.org/submissions/|||You need to register at www.withoutabox.com for a filmmaker's account. It's totally free. Withoutabox is a film festival clearinghouse. Lots of festival use it to manage their entries, so in addition to Sundance you can enter tons of festivals. Once registered, do a search for Sundance and you can read all of this year's requirements - they haven't changed much. Add it to your watchlist and withoutabox will notify you when they start accepting entires. They will start accepting submissions in June - all you need to do is fill out the form at withoutabox.com, pay the entry fee (which shouldn't go up to much - this year for short films early submission fee was $35 and regular was $50) and send in your film. That's really all you need to do to submit a film. You can even submit one of the ones you've already done as the short films have very few restrictions on release before the festival. Here's the link to the Sundance page on withoutabox - keep in mind you may not be able to see it until after you register.

Good luck!|||you have to find a film crew. find people that are good in writing/literature/script, or a person good in photography, or a person that likes to edit. and overall, raise money to produce the short film you want to make. And to be so honest and frank, you're short film won't make it on your own to Sundance. Sundance is for those group of film lovers that make film creative and go beyond. It takes time, studying, school, and most of all, experience of making films to get into Sundance. Over time you can make it if you do what is necessary....good luck!
